A note from MADC president, Richard Ralphsmith A note from MADC president, Richard Ralphsmith:
We just don’t get together enough as a family any more. That’s why, thanks to Otto Empire and CI Studios, we’re hosting the inaugural MADC Free-For-All this Thursday night from 6-9pm at Red Bennies, 373 Chapel St (It’s the old Viper Room, but don’t hold that against it.)
If you’re an MADC member, come along for free drinks, free nibbles and a brilliant free burlesque show. If you’re not a member, it’s free for you too - at least for the first couple of frothies.
Why are we doing this? Well, apart from giving everyone a chance to catch up, the Free-For-All is a membership drive. Kind of like a pie night at a footy club, but without the spew on the floor. We want to expand our membership base and offer our members even greater value for money. More members mean we can offer more opportunities for creative stimulation through brilliant speakers and forums for learning. And of course, more grouse events like this Free-For-All.
So come along, whether you’re an agency creative, suit, producer, director, studio artist, casting agent, actor or the tuba player in the Adriatic furniture commercial. The MADC is about fostering creativity in Melbourne, so if you call yourself creative, come and join us.
One more thing. I urge you to visit www.madc.com.au and join up this very second. Because if you join before, or on the night, we’ll give you 12 months’ membership at last year’s rate – great value for only $125. It’s tax deductible, too. Which makes it virtually free.
So come along Thursday night and live it up on CI Studios and Otto Empire’s coin.
