After 70 years of the MADC it would be embarrassing if you hadn’t even won one.
So, our unbiased advice is to enter plenty. Go overboard.
What we’ve learnt from our long history is that you’ve just got to stick with it, persistence pays.
No doubt this rings true of the work you’re entering. You didn’t give up, you didn’t accept no, or ‘good enough’. And so, you should be rewarded for this focus and doggedness.
Sure, you may think this advice is a self-serving money-making scheme, but we’re a not-for-profit. How dare you?! No, all your sweet sweet money goes back into the creative community in an effort to inspire the next generation of creative professionals. And ensure that the MADC can go on, and on, for another seven decades. At least.
And let’s be honest, at this point in history us humans could do with a bit of a pump up. There’s a lot of uncertainty within the industry about emerging technologies, but, human creativity has always lead the way, and our irreplaceable lateral leaps will continue to move us forward. We just have to stick with it and lead the robots in the right direction.
Plenty has changed in the last 70 years, but not this; Great ideas powered by persistence are the ones that change everything.
Now, where were we? That’s right. Enter now. Enter heaps.
Persistence pays.
Matt Lawson and Simon Thomas, Co-Presidents of the MADC.
